The Thought Police Are Watching You

I am reading 1984 by George Orwell written in 1949 but it might as well have been written in 2021.

For example:

· People pulling down statues and re-writing history because they don’t like it!

· Large faceless corporations — Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon with their draconian rules of how one must do business with them.

· The two minute “Hate” every day — Just read anyone’s political opinion on Facebook or Twitter except it is more like 20-minutes a day not two!

· Then there is the thought police whether it’s FOX News, CNN or the BBC no news channel is even close to un-bias. They all spew out their lies as it suits their particular political agenda. Aljazeera is more believable than some of our mainstream news channels.

· Senseless wars continue to slaughter ten of thousands of people in many parts of the world like Yemen, Somalia and Syria while the UN does what it has pretty much always done — nothing!

· Big brother is watching you. In, the UK the average citizen is on camera 3,000 times a day in the name of public safety.

· Pretty soon we may all have to line up for vaccines whether we want to or not, if we expect to leave home.
