The Courage to Take Action in Your Life!

How many opportunities have you stood on the side lines and allowed to pass you by? The jobs, moves, vacations, start ups, or once in lifetime shots?

My favorite movie of all time is Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. There are so many amazing scenes in the movie, great dialog, and two superstars in their prime, that have amazing charisma together. There are also some great life lessons in the movie.

Butch and Sundance are trapped on a rock ledge, several hundred feet above a raging river, having been pursued relentlessly by a posse for several days. They sit on the ledge and Butch considers their potential options.

We could give up, but I don’t fancy going to jail.

Their pursuers could go for position, and pick them off one at a time

They could pin them down and starve them out.

They could also get a rock slide started.

Butch finally asks Sundance what else they could do. “They could surrender, but I wouldn’t count on it” comes his sarcastic reply.

Butch suddenly jumps up and says, “I know; we’ll jump!”

“The hell we will,” says Sundance. But after some tense back-and-forth, jump they do, holding a belt since Sundance can’t swim. Our two lovable outlaws do jumo, survive…
