Reframe Your Problems For Better Solutions
Think of the famous painting, The Mona Lisa. This piece of art is a picture of a smiling young woman. It is framed in an ornate gold leaf frame and hangs in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. It is one of the most valuable paintings in the world and worth countless millions.
The thing that has attracted people to that painting is the smile of the Mona Lisa. Why is she smiling? At whom? Etc. What do you think would happen to the way you feel about the picture if you removed it from its ornate gold leaf frame and put in another more modern one.
How about a bright red, plastic frame about three inches wide with little pictures of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on it?
The image itself would remain unchanged, but what would that frame do to the way you looked at and felt about the painting?
Chances are, it would dramatically change the way you saw the painting. Can you think of it as a priceless work of art now?
Has it become more amusing or less amusing?
The point is
That by reframing the painting, it changes the way you look at it?
It is this way with many of the problems you face in life. Reframing them can have a remarkable effect on both your attitude and your ability to solve them.
