Real taxation in the US is 25/30% less than in the UK or anywhere in Europe except Switzerland, and yet the US has the strongest economy in the world. As Lincoln said, "You cannot help the poor by becoming one of them."

It has been proven by multiple nonpartisan groups that a simple flat tax raises more revenue and stops the wealthy from not paying it. That number is 23%. on all transactions, and you do away with everything else. The tax codes in both countries are archaic, unfair, and avoidable if you are rich enough, which I am not.
