Last Week I Had a Massive Heart Attack — Here’s What I Learned
I have always enjoyed the lines in Baz Luhrmann, song Everyone’s Free to Wear Sunscreen:
“Don’t worry about the future; or worry but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing Bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4 PM on some idle Tuesday”
Only in my case it was an idle Thursday. Thursday, November 4th at 9.35 am to be exact. I was on my way to get my golf clubs re-shafted in Dunnellon, Florida driving my littel red Corvette. After that I had a rare appointment to get my hair cut, boring everyday stuff. Suddenly, a tight feeling in my chest rapidly escalated to a feeling that someone was hitting my chest with a sledgehammer with every ounce of strength they could muster. But I thought there is no way I could be having a heart attack is there?
Being Fit Does Not Stop a Heart Attack From Happening!
I average 15,000 steps per day. Up until a cold spell a week ago I swam 20 laps a day, I walk when I play golf and I play tennis 3–4 times per week tennis. I am not overweight, on top of that every meal at home is Vegan. When we eat out, I almost always eat seafood rather than red meat. I rarely if ever eat fried foods, fast foods, or…
