Are You Insane? -The Best Sales Close Ever!
One of my original and all-time favorite closes is taken directly from the pages of my most successful direct-mail sales letter — a single-page letter that has made tens of millions of dollars in several different industries, for both me and my clients.
I have used it to sell lessons of all kinds, marketing services, meeting space, vactions and products that will make peoples lives easier. In fact you can use it to sell almost anything as it works with anyone not happy with their current situation.
Maybe the prospects golf game is not improving, delivery from a current supplier is sporadic, or his marketing is not working.
The close goes like this:
Salesperson: One of my all-time favorite quotes is one by Albert Einstein, whom I am sure you would agree was a pretty smart chap.
Prospect: Sure!
Salesperson: Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and yet expecting different results!
Mr. Prospect, if you don’t hire Legendary Marketing to increase your leads and improve your sales process, what do you think your results are going to be next year?
Prospect: Probably about the same as this year!
