An Ocala Cop Pulled a Gun on Me and My Wife!
I had been out to dinner with my wife in Ocala, Florida. We were out of the built-up section and on the deserted part of Hwy 200 heading home. A car came up behind me very close, too close. I sped up from 55 mph which was the speed limit to 70mph. He kept right on my tail. I decided to slow down to 50 to let him pass me easily. He did not he just stayed right on my bumper. I told my wife that I thought the guy might be drunk and was playing games. I cranked it up to 100 mph and two minutes later the blue lights came on. “Shit!”
I signed and pulled over on the deserted road as quickly as possible. Put my wallet on the dash so I could easily get my license, wound down my window, and put both hands on the top of the wheel where the officer would see them. Driving a Ferraris for many years I’ve had plenty of practice. To my surprise, the officer got out of his car, walked about ten feet away from mine, and drew his gun which he pointed at me and said, “Get out of the car and put your hands on the roof.”
Guess what I did not do?
I did not drive off, run, reach for a weapon, start to fight or argue with him. I simply and calmly followed his instructions.
I got out of the car slowly showing him my hands and put them on the roof. I was not worried rather I was curious as to why he had pulled a gun.
