Aliens in the White House
No this is not a commentary on the increasingly bizarre behavior, press conferences, and tweets from our current fearless leader. It’s a far bigger and far more interesting question.
At the moment I’m writing a book on creativity and I’m doing a lot of research. The most interesting thing that I found in many of the books I’ve read is this. They all seem to agree that the key to creative genius is; to take two totally unrelated subjects or objects and connect them to come up with an interesting idea.
This week and the Pentagon released several videotapes of UFOs taken from inside the cockpit of US fighter planes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auITEKd4sjA The most interesting part of these videos was the unedited conversation of the pilots marveling at what they were seeing.
By coincidence this week, I’m half-way through listening to HG Wells’s, War of the Worlds, a book written more than 100 years ago. The earth is invaded by Martians who build giant robots a hundred feet high with Laser beams, which lets them smite everything in their path. While I haven’t gotten to the end yet, I know from a previous listing to the excellent, Jeff Wayne, musical, version of War of the Worlds that the Martians are eventually defeated, not by soldiers and guns by catching what amounts to the common flu virus.
