Over the last couple of years, I have taken the Master Classes of James Patterson, Dan Brown, Amy Tan, David Baldacci, Neil Gaiman and Salmon Rushdie. All of which were very good. I have also read Stephen King on Writing and numerous articles by other famous writers in my quest to get better at my craft.

Here is what I learned.

1. Write every day: King is a firm believer in the importance of daily writing. He suggests setting aside a specific time and place to write and making it a habit. Write every day: Patterson recommends setting aside time every day to write, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Consistency is key. 2. Read a lot: King recommends that writers read widely and often, both within and outside of their chosen genre. Reading helps writers develop their own voice and style. Read widely: Patterson recommends reading widely and across multiple genres to broaden your knowledge and improve your writing skills.

3. Edit ruthlessly: King is a big believer in the importance of editing and rewriting. He recommends cutting anything that doesn’t move the story forward or add to the reader’s understanding.

4. Keep it simple: King’s writing style is known for its simplicity and clarity…
